Questions we get asked
What hardware do I need?
Any Android tablet or TV box will run the till. Add a thermal receipt printer and barcode scanner if you want them — most standard USB and Bluetooth models work. The backoffice runs in any browser on a laptop or phone.
What actually happens when the internet goes down?
Nothing you'd notice at the counter. The till already holds your items and prices, so sales complete instantly and are stored on the device. Once you're back online they upload on their own — and because each sale carries its own ID, a retry can never create a duplicate.
Can I move my existing items and stock across?
Yes. Send us your spreadsheet or an export from your current system and we'll import items, prices, suppliers and opening stock for you at no charge during setup.
Can one account cover a shop and a restaurant?
Each account is set up for one business type, so mixed operations run as two accounts today. Combined verticals under one roof are on the roadmap — tell us about your setup and we'll advise on the cleanest arrangement.
Who can see my data, and can I get it out?
Your business's data is isolated from every other account on the platform, and you decide what each staff member can reach. Exports are available whenever you want them — it's your data, not ours.
Is training included?
Yes. Setup help and staff training are part of onboarding — on-site within Kampala, and over video or a scheduled visit elsewhere in Uganda. Your cashiers only need a morning on the till.
